Dalilah’s Shawl Festival!

One of the coolest things that happened to me lately is the Dalilah’s KAL that Clara and Valesca from Tricoteiras.com are promoting and a lot of great gals have come along!

Our trip to Sao Paulo to visit the stores Pintar e Bordar and Novelaria Knit Café to meet the girls that knitted or are knitting – or even will knit soon – the Dalilah shawl was really great as well!One of the coolest things that happened to me lately is the Dalilah’s KAL, that Clara and Valesca from Tricoteiras.com are promoting and a lot of great gals have come along! Recently launched yarns and the I Love Yarn Day celebration!

This week I saw at Facebook a note about the I Love Yarn Day next October 14. I had no idea that there was actually a day for loving yarn  and it made me laugh because I tend to celebrate yarn every day when I’m at the computer or just dropping by my LYS!

The Craft Yarn Council is suggesting something bigger than that! The idea is to engage people to celebrate yarn trough teaching  somebody to knit or crochet, doing something for charity, giving yarn as a gift, knitting or crocheting  in public and so on.

A blast of joy: another KAL in partnership with Tricoteiras.com!

A few months ago, Valesca  and Clara, friends and owners of Tricoteiras.com have arranged a KAL for the TIC cowl. It was like an experience from another planet: so much fun! Most of us follow the website and participate at an online community for knitters called Crazy Knitting Ladies. We are in contact almost every day and during this period we share knitting experiences that goes from the choice of yarn to a ideal cast off a project! The previous KAL was a total thrill! As I opened my eyes every morning, I checked my email to see the news shared by the participants!

We were chatting the other day and the idea of doing a KAL over at Tricoteiras.com came up! This time we are going to knit the Dalilah shawl and two smaller versions that were created as a request from knitting friends! Read more
