The time is literally flying away! We are only one week away from the last part!
I have to admit that I’m already missing the excitement from lots of messages, here and at FB! But this finishing fase is quite pleasant, because the project is almost done and we are one step away to wear the cardigan with a nice pair of jeans and a fave t-shirt!!!
Some dear participants finished their projects! It’s such a enjoyable feeling to hear that people are having a nice time while knitting the Bettina cardi! Thank you, guys!
So now…”sleeves time”:
***my observations are in purple!
Sleeves
With DP gauge needles, place held 40 (42, 47, 51, 57, 61) sleeve stitches onto needles. Beginning at the center of the underarm, pick up and knit 2 (2, 2, 4, 4, 4) underarm sleeve stitches, knit 40 (42, 47, 51, 57, 61) sleeve stitches and pick up and knit 2 (2, 2, 4, 4, 4) underarm sleeve stitches.
You will have 44 (46, 51, 59, 65, 69) stitches on the needles. Place a marker and join for work.
Keep working in Twisted Stockinette stitch (at every other round the knit stitches are worked on the back loop) for 11 rounds.
***Because now we are working in circular!
Decrease round:
K1, K2tog, K until last 3 stitches before the marker, SSK, K1.
Repeat the decrease round every 10 (10, 8, 7, 7, 6) round for 4 (4, 5, 6, 6, 7) times.
You will have 34 (36, 39, 45, 51, 53) stitches on the needles.
Work in Twisted Stockinette stitch until the sleeve measures 11 ” from underarm.
Setting up for Garter Stitch rows
Work 3 rounds in Garter Stitch, starting with a Purl round.
***Purl one round, knit the next and purl the last one.
Double I-cord Finishing
***It’s worked in the same way that the body. You can take another look at the last post with videos from the Double I-cord finishing here.
Setting up for the first I-cord
Change for the bigger DP needles.
I-cord: Cast on 3 stitches at the left needle using the Backward Loop Method.
*Knit 2 stitches, SSK, slip 3 stitches from right needle to left needle and repeat from* until the marker.
You will have 3 stitches on right needle. Slip them to the left needle and Slip 1, K2tog and pass the slipped stitch over. Place the remaining stitch on hold.
Setting up for the second I-cord Finishing
Pick up 32 (34, 37, 43, 49, 51) stitches. Place the stitch on hold at the left needle. Cast on 2 at the left needle using the Backward Loop Method.
I-cord: *Knit 2 stitches, SSK, slip 3 stitches from right needle to left needle and repeat from* until the marker.
You will have 3 stitches on right needle. Slip them to the left needle and Slip 1, K2tog and pass the slipped stitch over. Break the yarn and draw tail through remaining loop. ***before break the yarn, be sure to leave enough yarn to weave.

Atrasadinha…. é tantos TJs que eu me perdí no tempo… ainda hoje posto as fotos com o i-cord da volta e esta semana termino as mangas… AMEM!!! Bejim
Paula, estou com uma dúvida no icord… o canto em 90° é só na voltinha para a barra? Os cantos do decote não faz nada, só mantem o ponto?
Assim que terminar o icord eu tiro uma foto. Estou adorando fazer.

Vc nao imagina como fico feliz por vc estar gostando de tecer o Bettina!
O acabamento em I cord passa pela bainha/costas, uma lateral, gola/decote, outra lateral e termina bainha/costas.
Os cantos com angulo 90° sao 4: da bainha/costas para laterais (um de cada lado) e tambem das laterais para a gola/decote (tambem um de cada lado).
Se puder, mande uma foto de onde vc esta ate amanha (2a feira dia 2/7, para entrar no sorteio dos clips de <3!!!). Pode ser foto celular, etc.

No canto onde junta o final com o inicio dos Icords fica “feio” mesmo? Ou eu fiz algo errado? O meu ficou separado um do outro….
Outra dúvida, ao inves de usar agulhas de duas pontas nas mangas posso usar circular? Não tenho agulha de duas pontas e nem sei usar isso rs.

Querida, Procurei fazer a transicao do 1º para o 2º I-cord de forma que o espaço ficasse mínimo (um inicio do segundo comeca a partir do final do primeiro). Mas como cada um de nos tem uma tensao ao tecer, vão haver diferenças! Vai se importante arrematar com cuidado, costurando e fechando os buraquinhos (falo no final da receita, mas nessa dica de sexta vou falar um tico mais!)
Sim, claro q pode usar laço mágico para as mangas! Ou agulhas circulares com 16″ / 40cm de extensão)! O que for mais confortável pra vc!!!
