Talula: new design at knitty.com

I would like to introduce Talula, my new design at Knitty magazine. Can I say again "Knitty.com"?! Months ago, while sketching for winter pieces, I could only think about coziness, comfort, the pleasure of fluid knitting stitches and the rewarding feeling of a self-made wardrobe. I was interested in timeless beautiful knitting stitches worked over a squishy and scrumptious yarn. Talula 24 * Talula 19 * Those were my guidelines for Talula, a "boxy" sweater, with lots of positive ease for the body, along with tapered sleeves. Talula is worked seamlessly with a 3-Needle Bind Off at the shoulders. It is worked from the bottom-up with drop shoulders. The back is comfortably longer than the front, for total freedom of movement. Talula 2 * Talula 4 * Neck ribbing and i-cord edges complete the sweater for a nicely finished look. The sample yarn is the gorgeous Sincere Sheep Bannock, a 100% Targhee wool yarn, made in US. Bannock is next to the skin soft but will hold up to abrasion better than a Merino yarn. I hope you enjoy Talula and all designs from the Knitty's Blizzard Surprise edition. Talula 7 * Talula 8 * Talula 17 * Peace Knit Love for all of us, Paula
